Imperialis bromeliad is one of the largest terrestrial bromeliad, with beautiful colors ranging from different shades of green and purple. It can take up to 10 years to reach its mature size of up to 5 feet in width. One thing worth waiting to see is its striking flower that can reach up to 8 feet and can last up to 5 months, producing over 100,000 seeds within the flower. Like most bromeliad and agaves that die after they flower, but they will produce babies throughout its lifetime at the base of the main plant and begin the beautiful process all over again .
