Sago Palm

Cycas Revoluta, King Sago Palm

  • Sago Palms are a garden favorite here in South Florida because they’re low maintenance and have beautiful deep green glossy leaves that are little pointy at the end but not very sharp. Although it is called a Sago Palm, it is actually not a palm at all but a Cycad. Cycads have been around since the age of dinosaurs and for this Sago Palm to reach its full mature size of about 10 feet it can take almost up to 70 years! Sago Palms can be used as a centerpiece, in containers, or even indoors if given enough light.
